Overview
Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) needed a digital platform to educate, inform, and engage local residents about climate change. The website had to serve as a hub for information, providing updates on sustainability initiatives, practical guidance on reducing environmental impact, and showcasing MVDC’s own efforts to tackle climate change.

The solution
We designed and developed a vibrant, intuitive, and content-rich website that serves as the go-to digital space for environmental awareness in Mole Valley. The website features clear, engaging content, structured into easy-to-navigate sections that educate residents and businesses on climate change and practical actions they can take.
Accessibility was a key focus. As a local authority, ensuring inclusivity and ease of use for all residents was paramount. To achieve this, we implemented a comprehensive accessibility toolkit, allowing users to adapt the website to meet their individual needs.
To keep users engaged, we created a strong visual identity with bright, nature-inspired designs, compelling imagery, and accessible layouts. Interactive features, such as educational resources, news updates, and action-oriented assets, were integrated to encourage community participation.
As part of launch initiative, we designed 7 badges which can be assigned to community projects as and when they achieve a sustainable goal.
